Ordering Custom Marble

When you want to make a custom order, weather it is for yourself, a gift or a special event the price will be determined by the number of pieces you order, the type of hardware and the accents. Right now I can create custom earrings and pendants or combine for a matching set. Prices will usually vary from $8 to $25 a piece plus shipping. After we discuss the items below I will be able to give you a more accurate price. Payment will be due before items are shipped.

There are 6 main decisions to make when designing custom marble.

1) Base

2)Additives

3)Sparkle

4)Cutter Shape

5)Hardware

6)Accent

Base

You can use any color polymer clay for the base but the only one that is opaque is translucent. You can add some color to it but it will be a pastel color when it is baked and the darker the color the less you can see through it. Most of my earrings I use either a black or white base but you can also use any other color clay you can find. Some of the metallic and pearls make a good base or can be used as an additive.

Additives

Additives create the veining in your marble. Mostly I use a combination of an acrylic paint, other accent clays and glitter. The paint you use can be metallic and then you don’t necessarily need glitter but can also use it if you want more sparkle. If you are using metallic paint I would only use one color glitter but if you are using normal paint I sometimes use 2 colors of glitter or more.

Sparkle

Here is where you would add either gold, silver or copper leaf to the jewelry. You can add a little dusting of it or add big patches of it but if you add to much you can overpower the marbling and if you already have a lot of glitter you might not even need to add any leaf.

Cutter Shape

Here is where you choose the shape of the cutter. If you order multiple pairs you can get them all the same shape or choose different ones. Also only some of the earrings have a pendant cutter to match. I have many different cutters to choose from some are bigger and some are smaller and you might even want multiple sizes of the same shape for a tiered earring. Most of my current pendants are Oval and some of the other ones can have a cutout but they are not pictured. I also have a few more shapes that I will add once I make then and photograph them.

Hardware

Usually when you choose your color and additives you have an idea of what color hardware you want on your jewelry. Most people choose gold or silver but its also possible to do copper, rose gold, bronze, and gunmetal available of some styles. If there is a specific charm or accent you want to add to your earrings it is best to match the hardware to that color. I also have a few special types of hardware available that when used will not need an accent.

Accent

I have a few different styles of charms to choose from that will dangle in front of the marble but also have many different beads that can hang in between the hardware and the marble. Depending on what you want we can find something to meet your needs.
